Hírnév szint: 5 ![]() | 3rd Editon Characters vs 4th Edition Characters. A comparison
In order to provide a better information on the differences between the two edition, I believe that a character comparison is the best way to do it. While I understand that a single character is not enough, I believe that if everyone of us post a 3rd ed. character and his conversion with the 4th edition rules, all of us would have a fairer view if the changes in the rules. So I've decided to post Drosscester a young mercenary who likes to always look the best. 3rd Edition Version. Chars: 20 ST 12 45 DX 14 30 IQ 13 10 HT 11 Advantages: 15 Combat Reflex 9 Extra Fatigue (+3) 15 Magery 1 10 Literacy Disadvantages: 10 Bully 5 Curiosity 5 CoH: Pirates 10 Overconfidence 5 CB: Generosity 5 Obsession: finding his sister Quirks: 1 Like being considered the best 1 Always have a shining armor 1 Collects Jewels (not hoardes 'em he likes to change) 1 Uneasy between mages 1 Do not drinks strong alcohol Skills: 4 Acrobatycs - 14 8 Sword - 16 2 Climbing - 14 4 Darts (game) - 15 3 Dodge - 14 1 Fast Talk - 12 1 First Aid - 13 1 Heraldry - 12 2 Lasso - 14 2 Spell Throwing (FireBall) - 15 1 Stealth - 13 8 Two handed Sword - 16 Spells: 1 Foolishness - 12 1 Daze - 12 1 Sleep - 12 1 Mass Sleep - 12 Totals: 105 Chars 49 Advantages 40 Disadvantages 5 Quirks 37 Skills 4 Spells 150 Total 4th edition version Chars: 20 ST 12 80 DX 14 60 IQ 13 10 HT 11 Advantages: 15 Combat Reflex 9 Extra Fatigue (+3) 15 Magery 1 0 Literacy Disadvantages: 10 Bully 5 Curios 5 CoH: Pirates 5 Overconfidence 5 CB: Generosity 5 Obsession: finding his sister Quirks: 1 Like being considered the best 1 Always have a shining armor 1 Collects Jewels (not hoardes 'em he likes to change) 1 Uneasy between mages 1 Do not drinks strong alcohol Skills: 4 Acrobatycs - 14 8 Sword - 16 2 Climbing - 14 4 Darts (game) - 15 3 Dodge - 14 1 Fast Talk - 12 1 First Aid - 13 1 Heraldry - 12 2 Lasso - 14 2 Spell Throwing (FireBall) - 15 1 Stealth - 13 8 Two handed Sword - 16 Spells: 2 Foolishness - 12 2 Daze - 12 2 Sleep - 12 2 Mass Sleep - 12 Totals: 170 Chars 39 Advantages 35 Disadvantages 5 Quirks 37 Skills 8 Spells 214 Total So the two sheet seem almost identical. The difference is due to the different costs of Chars.

Impressive. But in 4e, you can get up to half of your character's starting points as disadvantages instead of just 40 points (so, a 150 char would have 75 points of disadvantagens instead of just 40). Yet, 4th chars still cost more points than in 3rd =\
