So, what do people think about it, just based on the blurbs released? Personally, going to points based AND getting rid of the decker/rigger distinction has pretty much killed a lot of my interest. I've also heard they're killing my sweet, sweet dice pools, so. I cry. |

Depends on how they go points based, if they use something like they had in Shadowrun Companion that isn't a problem. The decker/rigger distinction was questioned not once, with vehicles controlled with help of a datajack, and if a rigger already has a datajacks and a lot of electronic skills can can program drones, etc. you see where it can lead. But I think no need to streamline the system, and it can cause problems and dice pools were good, I have serious concerns about the new systems, also with the changes in the Matrix etc.

That was about my take on it, too. I'll probably look over it and try to decide if there's enough in it to salvage it for me. ...failing that, I'll just rip the parts I do like out of it, and reverse engineer 'em into my SR3 games. I win either way. |
