Question Costume

Ok what kinda props and items should I look for if I am going to play in a Shadowrun LARP? I haven't played much of any shadowrun so I am lost on what I should be looking for before this game beguins.

Leather. Lots of leather. >>

Seriously, hit thrift shops and consignment stores around where you live. Try to find:

Long coats. Think calf-length. Old military ones have about the right feel.
Boots. Military canvas, black leather, things like that.
Gloves. Try to find some half-finger gloves. Weight lifting gloves, for example. Under $5, at most exercise stores.
Military surplus pants, cargo pants, that sort of thing. Pockets are good.

This is, of course, assuming you're going for the dark Runner type. Customize. It's ALL about the look, really. If you're going for a mage, get some pouches to hang off your belt, feathers, that sort of thing. If you're more about speed instead of power, wear sneakers instead of boots.

Obviously, weapon-wise, waterguns are the obvious first answer. However, most of those are cartoony-looking in color. Spraypaint can help a bit. Just make SURE the tips of the barrels are a nice, bright orange, so it's obvious it's a fake.

Old computer keyboards can star as a deck, if you're a decker.

Snag some face paint, if you want to go that route. Great as war paint (obviously).

Really, just look around you and see what you have or can get. And then figure out what you can do with what you've got.

Oh....don't forget the mirrorshades, chummer.

We are actually going to use nerf guns. And I was looking for good props for Cyberware. The cloths are always the easy part it is the accessories that will make or break you.
