Hírnév szint: 4 ![]() | Deus and Enigma
To Clarify, this is a Dungeons and Dragons 3.5 game. If you're not interested in such, read no further. In fact, you probably shouldn't read any further period, by it won't really cost you anything to... Tired of tedious and unnecessary plot and character interaction? Do away with it! Annoyed by the plethora of angst and in game and out of game problems created by another player and/or that player's character? Kill them! Want to try out a build that's insanely overpowered, but the only way it would be even remotely viable is if everyone was so rediculously powerful that the boost is marginal? You might possibly be in luck! Deus and Enigma is a grossly epic Dungeons and Dragons campaign that asks the question: What's wrong with mindless hack and slash? Drawing upon a campaign world rich in diversity, but not much substance (hey, there's some!), ranging from Orcish prehistorical dragon slayers to supertech gnomes fighting off against psionic halflings, Deus and Enigma takes Epic to the extreme! Now for the part that's more than likely going to turn off anyone still listening: because of some weird combination of game balance and DM preference, there are six "roles" in the campaign, designed to represent the ludicrousy of the campaign setting. There's the Norse Warrior Priest (which has been taken), the Greek Champion, the Arcane Archer, the Samurai (Can you say Iai/Battou master?), the Gnomish Robot (someone has designs on that already as well), and the Primitive! Sample builds for all six characters are availible upon request. All characters begin as 20th level Gestalt characters with the paragon template, along with a Weapon of Legacy with absolutely no personal costs of GP costs, not to mention that it comes with a free epic ability. Magical items are availible in small quantities as made by the characters (make sure to check with the GM). The purpose of this campaign is to experiment with insane rolls, psychotically powerful creatures (that still aren't strong enough), and to some extent to make the fighters really matter. Some rules of how the game works aren't likely to be enforced (like how it would be really really hard to chop a stone pillar in two with a longsword), and the game will more than likely be only half serious, with constant metagame references to popular entertainment or Dungeons and Dragons material. Despite this, the characters will undoubtedly be thrown into saving the universe, no matter what their begining quest is. So, if you've been searching for the newest way to hack and slash, this is it! Oh right. If you're interested, Email me at ao8626@Wayne.edu . Make sure to include Deus and Enigma in the topic. I'm also occasionally on Enerla under the nick Sirius, especially on Monday and Tuesday evenings. |

Well, I didn't exactly get any responses from the board, but I figure I might as well post this; All posistions have been filled. Standbys are welcomed (we're probably going to need one for the Dwarven cleric) but all the initial six posistions have been filled.
