Dawnforge - Leveling

Wow! That was is the most truthfull answer I can give after reading the character options Dawnforge gives to it´s player, this setting pretty much has everything and it gives you more.

Let´s start with the race, a part of giving you up a couple of more new races for your character it also gives you racial levels, enough for you to get a pretty customization of your character, each level that you go up in one of your racial leves you gain a benefit from a list.

Classes, you have a couple to select, besides the ones in the players handbook, I think I haven´t seen a Campaing book that doesn´t introduce a new one, but dawnforge is not the exception.

Path, if you had read midnight you will be familiar with the concept of a path, if not, a Path is a decision you made with your character that will define part of his personality and goal in the current game, the path also gives you speciall benefits depending on wich path do you take. In Dawnforge you will have to earn your path, by getting Legendary Points, a special reward that your DM can grant you if you achieve certain goals during a campaing or if you complete some side quests.

Prestige classes, in the book of Age of Legend we are introduced to dawnforge prestige classes, i don´t remember if they were any, I was more interested in the new type of classes they give.

Legendary Classes, this new classes can only be achieved at the highest point of your path, the book describes them as Epic classes for the characters (not related directly to the Epic concept of DND), even if you can achieve this classes before epic, I believe they are good options for epic characters in the Dawnforge world and in others.

Re: Dawnforge - Leveling

As you see they changed a lot of concepts from basic d20 ideals and from D&D 3.5 and it became better, guess if they would make new magic system, new saving throws, give different values for fighting styles, use a new combat system, etc. how much better it would be...
