Favorite NPC

Forum name doesn't suggest if you favorite character needs to be a PC, or if it can be a NPC. My favorite character is a famous NPC in the AD&D setting of the Forgotten Realms. This character's name is Elminster. The reason why he is my favorite character is because of all the developed NPCs for the Forgotten Realms, Elminster is the one with such a deep background and a wealth of material has been made available over the years regarding him. Too bad all NPCs can't be as well developed as him.

Re: Favorite NPC

The foruim is for both PCs and NPCs but for your own characters, and the "toss him everywhere high level superdude" of Forgotten Realms is obviously isn't your own. But you can see, what I think about him anyway He is everywhere because they wanted to use in character descriptions, stories, etc. and forgot to make new characters once in a while.

I think the forums purpose needs to be better stated. Perhaps stickies at the tops of forums where you have a clear intention. As stated on the top level this forum is about "your favorite characters". There is no qualifier that they have to yours.

Re: Favorite NPC

I haven't much experience in the Dragonlance, which is a shame. I would probably have a favorite character from there if I did. As for Ravenloft, the closest I ever came to that setting was some collector cards I bought around 1994/1995 that included RL cards in them

Re: Favorite NPC

My favourite NPCs are Zaknafein and Drizzt Do'Urden (if we in Faerün). But I like Wulthas Aspegod too(he's Harald Cromlech's hero). The good NPC is good if he/she do bad and good things too. But of course he/she have to do esquire activities. I imagine like this the good NPC!

Re: Favorite NPC

If I would have to name the favorite drow from R. A. Salvatore, I would name Vierna This can tell how much I like killerdrizzt.
