I believe there is a method for playing online though it could have been shut down.

Yeah I had heard of a battletech online game. Never had the URL, but will look later and share if I get it

The only thing I know of to play BT online with is Cyberboard, but all it really did was let you see the map...you still had to do everything else as there was no validation or anything.

Vassal might work with it, but I'm not very familiar with it.

Most of the playaids like vassal and cyberboard are meant only to handle maps / counters. But still a better option than not. Perhaps a future project?

The game you are looking for is called MegaMek. It's a Java-based multiplayer online version of the board game, based on the old DOS game from the 80's.

Actually I did.. see the thread.. was only you, AngryUz, and I. Not much intrest I guess so is a back burner project.
