Adventure idea: Bussiness as usual

The characters are hired to do a datatheft and upload the stolen files to a system specified by Mr. Johnson, they get a valid key for the system. If they do some legwork they can find out, the Johnson works for MCT, and they should steal some Renraku data and upload it to an MCT server. The datatheft is hard but doable yet they need physical access. They can finish the job with no real problems, yet a few hours later they see their faces on the trid: They stole a dnagerous worm under analysis. Some unnamed people sends a home video of their meeting with Mr. Johnson, and the money transfer can be traced. Bad news, and even worse, the worm does some damage to MCT systems, and their matrix controlled security devices kill a few people. It can be a start of a small war. But the MCT exec on the video wants to clean his name, and for this he needs to find the johnson who used his face to hire the characters. So hires your runners (again) to find out who is behind the attack.

Not a bad base plot. The betrayal/redemption plot is somewhat common but with some good red herrings, twists, etc can still be very fresh.
