I think playability is the most inportant aspect of a game. If the gameplay is awful it won't matter one iota if other aspects are well done. Games are supposed to be fun, and therefore the gameplay must be fun.

Story hasto be the universoly LEAST important aspect in video games in general...i mean FPSes do have storylines, but once you play the game, you realy dont care about the story. replayability (one of the top priorities in games) requires that ther be good multy player or random play (A good example of random play is the GTA from 3 and on).

This is a no-brainer i think. Replayability is nice, but you cant have RE-playability without playability. And all the rest is window dressing. Cheers!

One more thing for replayability: Replayability of a very long game can be very low, yet you get good value for your money. Replayability just adds some value for a game you want to replay (that have enough values already) and isn't long enough and doesn't have sequels, expansions. But the most important thing is how do you like the game while you are playing. I think most values have a minimum requirement to attract you as a player, some of them have an average line, but in the whole picture: They have low priority.

Story isn't important if it isn't reflected by the game, so mood is important, freedom and playability are good options, but I think you won't notice the difference between good playability and excelent one this is why I think mood is more important. And we can check freedom too |
