Community limits for multiple items

Do community limit represents the stock and apply when you purchase multiple items of the same type? Or is it just for parties, etc? It is most annoying with inns, etc.

Yes, it is a problenatic rule, but ask our d20 experts about it.

community limit the max GP value of an item a town/city of that size will propably have as most valueable single item

there is also a GPvalue for the total GPs in the community, when a 20th LVL group comes back from raiding a dungeon of innocent lichs and wants to sell 50 dimonds worth a 1000 GPs a piece in a "town" which counts a total of 50 heads... they will propably not sell even 1 diamond

this limit is the total "treasure" in the community, it contains all the coins artwork gems magical items in the community, so when the community has for exsample 25000 GPs and a limit of 1000 (just an exsample might not as in the rules) then u could perhapse find a cloak of resistance +1 some potions, some minor wands, some art some gems nothing awesome, some few platin pieces, a load of gold pieces, a lot of silver pieces, and a s**t load of coppers
finding in this community a cloak of resistance +5 is a no no, hell they would not even have a single copper left in the city

zergnase: The problem is simple: Comnmunity limit is for the tower / wall / building, or the whole castle? It is for 30 dinners, or for a dinner / party / ball / banquett for 30 as a single item?
