Little linear, and many nice ideas are missing from it, and no real new ideas, some say its AI is dumb (HL1 AI was very good for its age)... any many other problems, noone says it isn't bvetter than a random fps you pick u and forget in 1 month, but it isn't in the top games you remember after years, and compare new titles to.

Re: Half-Life 2

I like half life 2 but honesly there are so many better interpersonal games out that there is no point. The weaponry isn't like really cool and the gameplay isn't spectacular, same with the story. I must admit it is a very pretty game. The chick in it is cute hot. I like cute hot better than pretty hot, and with the engine she moves nice too. Honestly though it wasn't so special as to really get me going, I would like to have seen the other game I am playing (Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines) having been done with the HL2 engine, that would have been nice, mmmm beautifly rendered hot vampire chicks. Oh what were we talking about again?

Re: Half-Life 2

LOL funny you mentioned that, Vampire : Bloodlines WAS actually done with the HL2 engine, they even had to stall the release 'till AFTER Halflife to get it out (and then it STILL was buggy)... The thing was they got the engine but not much documentation or any other form of aid and when they got it it was still under developement so they didn't get such a finely tuned engine as the real deal had...

Still pretty cool game imho!

Re: Half-Life 2

Damn what the hell did they do to it then? It ran so slow and with so many problems. There was so much clipping on the body, so much of the movement was stiff, and that is saying a lot seeing as most of the main characters are dead. I hope they come out with a second game based on Requium. I think it will allow much more multiplayer options and this time make sure a decent company does the release, cut Activision and get Atari.
