Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth

So, who's played CoCCoTE? I waited ages for it to come out in North America, then rushed out to buy it.

    How is it?
I remember an old Amiga game: "It came from the desert".
Same with "Shadow of the Comet".
    Very Lovecraftian stuff.
    What about this new game?

I have played it and well while the story was well made and the horror factors there, the game play let stuff to be desired, like punching would have been nice. You shouldn’t lose health over time for small wounds, they should heal over time. The trail and error game play gets old Quick, this is a damned if you do or damned if you don’t type game. i still want to beat it but have grown bored of the repeated death and reload. If you get stuck there no choice but to read a walkthrough or just keep trying to you succeeded, cause you sometimes have to know what to do before you ever start the scene. Guy’s don’t drop bullets What the Hell, They all should not drop bullets but you would think if you kill one and he doesn’t ever get a shot off he should drop something. It is wouth playing if you are a fan of the lovecraft stuff. i would personaly give it 4 out of 5 stars

I think wishmaster has it down. It's got excellent atmosphere, but the game play is a little funny. I beat the game (there's a killer bug at the end), and enjoyed it, but there was certainly times when I got bored of being chased around by the fishmen, or wished my character wasn't such a total wimp. I'm pretty sure I was at just about 0 sanity by the end of the game. I would recommend playing it if you like Cthulu mythos stuff, but it could have been a lot better.

Well hey it took me forever to replay to the reply , but i was thinking of giving the "Necronomicon" game a try. Anyone ever played it and if so how is it? Will I lose my personal sanity playing it , like there's any left to lose lol.
