    Re: Sources of inspiration?

I tend to jot down any ideas that come rolling through my head while watching tv series. Some of them, inspired by such series as Lost, Lost Room etc, I find use for in WoD games.Other than mystery/horror elements, I rarely use anything else from the shows.
    I think, therefore you are.

    lots room is definitively cool

in my last campaign i wanted to introduce a new magical item in my dark sun D&D campaign. i got inspired by the good old scifi series "earth final conflict". one use gates which send to a predefined other game. in the series they used later some sort of launcher / crossbow to deploy the one way gates on range... the gate selfdestructed after one use... in my campaign i was introducing a paste which does the trick... if further developed ... a framework mechanic would have been possible ... sadly the campaign was paused and due the pause it lost the feeling ... so new campaign...
Where are my snacks, and where the heck is my BBQ-sauce ???

I like comic booky shows with lots of righteous violence, hot actresses and puns, like Buffy or Angel.

It must be why I imagine each and every begining of possible adventure as players sitting in a tavern with some guy comeing up to them and saying " You lookin at me? Are you lookin at meeeeee?!?!"..

    hm...

interesting in my many years of DMing, one or maybe two campaigns might have began in an inn ... never with a brawl
